Okay, so who wants to shoot a Zombie and get some really awesome pictures?

The Wednesday Workshop series of the Pittsburgh Model & Photographer Meetup Group ([link] ) is holding the first in an on-going (and hopefully weekly) series of AFFORDABLE photography workshops on Wednesday, October 28th in Squirrel Hill. 6-9 pm

The workshop series is designed to create a wide range of photographic opportunities to enrich your portfolio and bag of skills by spreading the costs over a small group, and making use of resources around town that are already available but largely unused.

You need to be in the Pittsburgh area, and on the Meetup.com/models mailing list to be notified of these events and be able to RSVP.

We provide the space, the equipment and the make-up. This is a _WORKSHOP_ so we'll be providing instruction, guidence, direction, makeup and set creation/preparation so all you have to do is show up and concentrate on composing your images and getting experience with models, model direction, lighting, lighting equipment, and more.

Don't be shy! No experience necessary. These workshops are how you gain experience and confidence working with, and photographing models, while adding a range of great images to your portfolio.

BONUS: Zombie makeup is expensive, time consuming, and messy. Clean up is a chore. We are waiving the usual $25 special F/x makeup fee on this premiere workshop, to kick off the series.

Photographers: Cost $100. Each of the workshops is limited to four (4) photographers only. This allows the best ratio between costs and shooting time, and limits the number of "similar" images. RSVP through the Meetup.com system. MC/Visa/Discover accepted at the studio.

This is the Wednesday Workshop Model Casting that was posted.

We have a new Wednesday Workshop series starting on October 28th with a range of themes, topics, costuming, and props.

We will need 2-3 models on Wednesdays on a regular basis. Nudity may not be required at any individual workshop, but models who are comfortable with at least partial (topless) nudity will be given first preferences for flexibility.

We are aiming these to be "real" workshops, where the participants learn something, and not just get turned loose to click away. That means *both* models and photographers will get direction and come away with more than a few images.

The first workshop is a "Shoot a Zombie" theme. We'll be posting the subsequent workshops/themes on the Pittsburgh Model & Photographer Meetup Site -- [link]

Workshop runs from 6pm - 9pm, but you should allow some time before/after to cover eventualities. Also, if you want to shoot with me or the other organizer to guarantee images for your use, please allow additional time after the workshop ends. We offer this, because the photographers attending will be of various skill levels, and some workshops will yield dubious results. We want to make it valuable to everyone.

These are studio shoots in a commercial building in a safe neighborhood with plenty of on-street parking available.

The topics and themes will range from simple portraiture, glamour or pin-up, to more elaborate costuming, zombie makeup, and the like.

Shoots are limited to 4 photographers. 2-3 assistants will be on hand to keep things flowing. *NO* escorts. Period. There is no room. They are welcome to drop you off and find some other place to wait.

Compensation:
$25 per model cash,
Dinner (New Dumpling House or Mineo's Pizza),
Guaranteed images for your use.

While it's not a lot of cash, it's above minimum wage for the 3 hours, and includes great food and images. *NOT* a bad deal for a Wednesday evening. Some shoots may pay a little additional, depending.
